Hey Everyone!
First off, BIG shout out to Shotzoom Software for allowing me to Review this application. You guys have made such a solid product... I give it a 10/10.
This is an application made by Shotzoom Software. It's called Golf GPS, this app was featured on Apple's iPhone Commercial titled, "Avid". It is aimed for all golf enthusiasts that are looking for a GPS solution for their iPhone. Let me be the first to say, this product works great! All the yardages were spot on, the aerial view was my favorite feature, you can take your score on the convenient score card portion, and there are many other great features to this application.
You'll find this app at the companies website: http://www.golfshot.com/ or in the app store under Golf Shot GPS.
**There are a few things I forgot to mention in the video that I need to touch on here**
1. There is NO SUBSCRIPTION, once you buy the app you get access to THOUSANDS of courses
2. Updates are free!
3. Thousands of courses in their database, so just sync your phone and your set.
That's it!

Sweet review man, I got a chance to play with a guy today who had it. It was definitely spot on! I have also heard that the GPS in the iphone is stronger than the ones in the driving units (i.e. TomTom). I am soooooo sold on this app.

I agree about the …
I agree about the battery. But it’s not the App’s fault, its really the GPS being active all the time that eats up the iPhones battery. Good call on the battery pack, I did the same.
As for the lay up distances… did you try the aerial view to pin point your locations as it relates to those hazards?

I purchased the …
I purchased the golf shot and there are 2 problems, one the iPhone battery wears out by the 13th hole (solved by purchasing a battery pack) and it does not give lay up distances to hazards other than bunkers (ie: ravines, water)

thanks! Glad you liked it.
I’m not sure of any accessories of the top. But I do know there are cases that have little ring clips on them. I’m sure you can fix it up to do what your asking.

Tim - FANTASTIC review!!! I’m planning to get an iPhone at the end of this month and this is an app I’ve been thinking about. Question, can you think of any 3rd party accessory or homemade gadget that would allow the iPhone to clip onto your golf bag so that you don’t stand the chance of leaving it somewhere during your round?
