Golf Clubs and Supplies

my school has a golf team, and i am fairly sure that i will make jv. i'm not a complete beginner, but i am still fairly new at the game. that aside, i was wondering if it would be okay to wear a fox racing cap to practice if it is sunny out. it's light blue and has the word fox written across the front, but isn't loud or otherwise offensive. i was also wondering if it's better to wear running sneakers or boat shoes while on the green. i understand that i must sound like a complete chump, but please just answer me honestly.

sneakers and the cap are fine. Shoes aren't as big of a deal as they once were. the last time it was real important what shoes you wore was when they started making plastic spikes, and the courses started banning metal spikes. I'd stay away from boat shoes, golf is a sport, wear some athletic shoes.

My husband started getting into golf by going to the driving ranges. He wants a full golf club set for christmas but I dont know which brand is the best. I see alot of name brands but im just so confused. Some are hybrid, others are graphite. I dont know whichs ones better. Please let me know what is the best brand of Golf Clubs out there. Thanks.
I would love to get him a golf bag and a gift certificate so he can swing a few of them but I just dont know how much to put in the card, and there are some on ebay that come all together. I know that if you buy a club at a time, its going to be more right? I dont know. Im not familiar with this sport. Help!

I know if you hit a golf ball with a tennis racquet it will go really far, but does it go farther than you can hit it with a club?
I realize the golf club will be longer and make the swing faster probably, but I don't think you lose any transfer of energy with raquet strings. I would guess you can hit a tennis ball farther with a racquet than a golf club.

the answer is not becuase with a raquet , the ball will be hit by the liitle squares, this would take off many distance, also the amterial of the cord is not so efficient as a golf club, finally the clubs are designto hit better.

How much smaller should a golf club be then you. I just want answers for my short irons. (7-9) and driver, plus i 4 iron hybrid thanks. What ever sounds right i will give best answer to

That is a trick question. Golf Clubs are not measured by how tall you are but by how far from the ground the first wrinkle of your wrist is.

After determining the distance between your wrist and the floor, then a length can be given for your Driver and 5 iron.

For each wood, (1, 3, 5 , 7) there is an inch difference between these clubs.

For each iron (2, 3, 4, 5, 6,...) there is a half inch difference between these. The 2, 3, and 4 iron would be longer then the 5 iron, and the 6, 7, 8,..., would all be shorter then the 5 iron.

So to get yours fit properly you would have to get your wrist to floor measurement and go from there.

I just bought one golf club for £7 manufactured by Dunlop and has very good quality, it's brand new and not used. Are they really cheap or is it because of recession?

What does it matter at this point? lets focus on what is at hand...when are you going to get the next opportunity to go out and play or practice with your new gear?

I want to caddy at a golf club near to my house I will soon be 16 years old. I want a job out in the sun I don't mind the summer heat, and that has good pay and tips. How do you get a job caddying at a golf club?

That's the job I'm interested in for this summer. I'm 15 and theres a country club I'd like to work at. Personally, I think being out in the fresh air, walking, building muscles and becoming more golf knowledgeable would help anyone's game.

I know some courses have a Caddy Program where they pay and it adds experience for possible Caddy Scholarships. It varies from state to state though. You mostly get paid through tips, it depends where you work. Before becoming a caddy you go through some (few weeks of) training. Older or more exclusive (private) courses usually use caddies, ask your Pro about it. Yay for caddies, it would be a great thing for the courses! Best wishes!

How do i get the golf club in mobsters?

You can obtain the golf club by doing either of these two missions:

Residential Burglary or Loot a Weapons Cache

In the information below the missions it says loot: ?, which refers to the golf club.

Of course you don't get the golf club every time, because then the mission Sell Counterfeit Sports Memorabilia would make it too easy to make money. BUT, in the Loot a Weapons Cache, you do get some kind of weapon every time (whether it be a flick knife or Beretta 9mm).
